Luke & Jenna Dougherty Farms is an agri-business located in central Indiana, specializing in row crop production of food grade corn, parent seed corn, non GMO beans, parent seed beans, cucumbers and wheat on 3,100 acres, spanning 6 counties.

Our Philosophy
We are very passionate about trying to be the best stewards of the land as we can possibly be. We utilize the latest technology, fertility testing, tissue testing, seed genetics, chemistry, and farming practices to optimize production while keeping a strong emphasis on sustainability and conservation. Our operation would not exist if it was not for an incredible group of land owners we serve, so building and maintaining strong relationships is very important to us.

USDA’s Prospective Plantings show farmer planting expectations

This week, USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) released its Prospective Plantings report and quarterly Grain Stocks report, which caused markets — and farmers — to react favorably. In both corn and soybeans, traders were expecting even more acres to be planted than reported, causing markets to reach their daily high limit.
